Studio Flooring Completed!

We have finally completed our flooring in the studio and soon to be presentation room. The next step we are going to do is paint the entire studio. We have looked into Valspar paint, which seems to be decent quality of paint. Some sample colors we have selected are below as well.

I have been a member of NoBS Photosuccess since 2005 when founders James Hodgins and Rob Provencher opened the doors to the forum. I was introduced to the community from James (Hodgy), when he invited me to join the forum after I constantly asked him questions about lighting on another forum. When I first started on the forum I was reluctant to post any of my photographs, merely because I was afraid of critiques from other members. But like any forum, you have to trust the other photographers for their tips and techniques. With the help of the great members of NoBS I have dramatically increase my confidence and ability with my work. Below are a series of images that showed what the NoBS community has done for our work.

Studio Flooring Construction

We are finally in the process of putting flooring down in the studio rather then carpeting. the flooring will be a lot better for our in-studio portrait sessions. We decided to purchase the flooring from IKEA, mainly because it was the cheapest we could find, and still has a 10-year warranty. Once the hall way is completed we will be running the flooring perpendicular to the already laid flooring. This will also allow us to use the flooring as a “prop” for some of our planned Senior Portraits.

Must Have: Hildozine - Pocket Wizard Caddy

After having my pocket wizard receivers hanging off my lights I needed a way to attach them to my light stands. So after some searching I found Hildozine Transciever Caddy which is worth every cent we paid. The caddy is molded perfect to fit the receiver and attached easily to the receiver via screw. Attaching our caddy with receiver to the light stand could not be any easier with the elastic straps. No more tension on the wire connections to the strobes or flashes, this little item is perfect for any photographer whether you shoot portraits or weddings.
